About Us
Meet Amanda...

My name is Amanda, and I moved to Bridgnorth five years ago. In 2023, I was diagnosed with
stage 1 breast cancer following a routine mammogram.
I was incredibly lucky that it was caught early, and my treatment involved hormone therapy, radiotherapy, and later, bone-strengthening treatment.

When my treatment ended, I expected life to return to normal—but instead, I felt unexpectedly
isolated.
I longed to connect with others who had been through something similar and truly
understood how I was feeling.

When I realised there were no local support groups in the area, I decided to start one myself.
Now, I’m passionate about creating a safe, welcoming space for people affected by cancer to
share, listen, and support each other through the ups and downs of the journey.
